Total Sugar Content Reduced by 50% in Some Products

Coca-Cola Singapore has announced that it is taking steps to reduce the sugar content in its beverages. The company has reformulated Sprite, reducing the sugar content from 9g per 100mL to 46g per 100mL. Coca-Cola has also reduced the sugar content in its other beverages, with many products now coming in within the sugar limits set by the Health Promotion Board (HPB).

The HPB's sugar limits are part of its Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS) program. Products that meet the HCS criteria are eligible to display the HCS logo on their packaging. Coca-Cola Singapore has announced that more than 85% of its beverages have been awarded the HCS, indicating that they have less sugar and saturated fat than other similar products.
