Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers didn't hold back when he was asked about New England Patriots rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez. Rodgers praised Gonzalez's athleticism, instincts, and work ethic.
"He's a really talented player," Rodgers said. "He's got great size and speed, and he's a very instinctive player. He's always around the ball, and he's made a lot of big plays for them this year."

Gonzalez has been one of the Patriots' best defensive players this season. He has started all 16 games and has recorded 48 tackles, three interceptions, and 12 pass breakups. He also returned an interception for a touchdown in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.
Gonzalez's play has been a big reason why the Patriots have the NFL's top-ranked defense. The Patriots are allowing just 17.8 points per game, which is the lowest in the league.

Rodgers is not the only one who has praised Gonzalez. Patriots coach Bill Belichick has also said that Gonzalez is a "special player." Gonzalez’s strong play has come after the Patriots traded away star cornerback Stephon Gilmore to the Carolina Panthers this past summer.
Gonzalez is a big reason why the Patriots are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year.
