A Sit-Down With the Hollywood Sweethearts for Their New Show
Hollywood's golden couple, Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, recently stepped out in Los Angeles to promote their upcoming Netflix rom-com series, 'Nobody Wants This.' The highly anticipated show follows the story of a down-on-their-luck couple who are forced to confront their relationship after their engagement falls through. The series is set to premiere on Netflix in the fall of 2023.
A Conversation with the Stars
'Nobody Wants This' is a departure from Brody and Bell's usual comedic roles, and the couple say they were drawn to the project because of its raw and honest portrayal of relationships.
"We're both really excited about this show," Brody said. "It's a really different kind of rom-com, and we think it's going to resonate with viewers on a lot of levels."
Bell added, "It's not your typical rom-com. It's more about the real side of relationships, the ups and downs, and the complexities of trying to make it work."
The couple also revealed that they were able to draw on their own experiences in their portrayal of the characters.
"We've been together for over a decade, so we definitely have a lot of experience with the ups and downs of relationships," Bell said.
"And I think that comes through in our performances," Brody added.
The Challenges of a Rom-Com
While 'Nobody Wants This' is a departure from Brody and Bell's usual comedic roles, the couple say they still found the project to be challenging.
"It's hard to do a rom-com that's both funny and heartwarming," Bell said.
"But I think we found a good balance with this show," Brody added.
The couple also revealed that they had to work hard to create chemistry on screen.
"We've known each other for so long that it's easy to take our chemistry for granted," Bell said.
"But we had to work hard to make sure that it came through on screen," Brody added.
The Future of 'Nobody Wants This'
Brody and Bell say they are hopeful that 'Nobody Wants This' will be a success and that they will be able to continue telling the story of the couple in future seasons.
"We would love to do more seasons of this show," Bell said.
"We think there's a lot more to explore with these characters," Brody added.
For now, the couple is focusing on promoting the first season of 'Nobody Wants This.' The show is set to premiere on Netflix in the fall of 2023.
